The Port of Crockett enjoys a Mediterranean climate where the summers are hot and dry and the winters are mild and wet. Getting about 14 inches of rain per year, the Port of Crockett is wettest during the winter. Temperatures range from an average high of 34°C (94°F) in July to an average low of 3°C (38°F) in January.

A small friendly community, the Port of Crockett overlooks the Carquinez Strait from rolling hills that are surrounded by parks. Most of the residents are "old timers" that have lived in the Port of Crockett for generations, but new residents come to enjoy the small-town atmosphere and friendly people who are quick to participate in town meetings and activities.
